So teckk, have you ever asked yourself how much you should owe the US for providing you and your family with a relatively safe and prosperous environment?
Nothing, I have payed taxes for 40 years like everyone else. The government does not provide. That's not the function of government. My rights, freedom, liberty don't come from government, they are inerrant. They come from nature, and natures god. Prosperity comes from freedom from government intervention, and the ability to profit from ones own labors. The citizenry have payed for all public infrastructure in the land. All of the military equipment that the US has. That was not provided by government, we bought it.

Then, have you asked how much the US owes you for your part in The Social Contract?
What social contract? That's socialist ideology jibberish. I don't have any contract with government or my neighbors, and don't want one. I don't owe my neighbor anything and they have no obligation to give me anything.

Millions for charity, not one dime for tribute.

How well would whatever line of work you are engaged in for a living do...
Government is not the originator of freedom, liberty, prosperity, success. The are the destroyers of it.

I don't accept your premise that government is the originator of safety, freedom, liberty, prosperity, etc. Freedom is the engine that delivers that. Government strangles it.

I don't want to be assimilated into the Borg, either do millions of others.

Just an FYI, teckk, The Constitution is a social contract. The concept by no means belongs to any one pole. It is implied in every civilization whether stated objectively or not. Thankfully The Founding Fathers left no room for debate. It is clearly specified or are you saying they were "commies"?

Proof that covid lockdowns are going to ruin this country!

There is an old belief that if the ravens at the Tower of London depart, the country will collapse. Now this is actually happening. Like most tourist attractions, the Tower closed for business for a while during the pandemic. No tourists meant empty rubbish bins, and the ravens left the Tower to scavenge abroad. Contrary to what a lot of people believe, they don't have their wings clipped. They are honoured guests, not prisoners.

The Tower is open again now for the time being but who knows how long that will last?

Some good news at last! India has passed the peak of its first wave and models suggest that there may not be another one.

Yes https://bing.com/covid/local/india New:Recovered is also < 1 consistently for the last fortnight.

BUT

Reporting is not uniform across states let alone consistent.
