Migrating to OO.o

An important client of mine is on the verge of migrating to Open Office, largely concerned with avoiding EULA. This is a service oriented industry with more than 200 PCs which run about 6 core apps and rest of their office files are in MS-Office. They use Wintel based platform.

I would be much obliged if any one could point me to known references to success stories in India.

Also any FAQs and DOs and DONTS on the compatibilty and migration issues?

I looked at the web and came up with a site called newsforge-say that allows us to download free SWF videos on Linux installation and migration.

All help will be gratefully acknowledged and I will give to you my sincere thanks.

Hmm, this is why an SBC work environment is best. When it comes to programs like OOo you could easily use a program like tarantella and everyone would have a happy day. Really...implementing Tarantella on the server (if that company's server is already based on SBC)would be the way to go. Only worries then would be adding accounts and installing it...

And although I am very happy that you were thinking about migrating to Linux, OOo is also available for Windows(http://download.openoffice.org/2.0.1/). So is Tarantella (www.propalms.com).

Don't know if this helped in any way, but didn't understand you all that well =(
