Microsoft Outlook and creating Inboxes
This has been bugging me for the longest time, but how do I create separate inboxes in Microsoft Outlook XP? I have 4 email accounts and I want them to go in their respective inboxes, but instead, Outlook puts them all in one default Inbox folder. So basically I have emails from 4 different accounts in one folder. How stupid is that? Mozilla Thunderbird gives you the option to separate your emails by accounts which is what I want to do in Outlook.

You can:
1) Create seperate profiles for each account (identities) 2) Create multiple folders, then create filters for the email |
Thanks for the filter idea! it worked, but now Outlook is being so stupid and downloading all my mail over and over! For example, I check my mail and it downloads it to the appropriate box. Then I check my mail 5 minutes later and it'll retrieve all the same mail! So it's like I have duplicate emails in my inbox! What's going on?!?!

Do you have Outlook set to remove the mail from the server?

I tried switching to Thunderbird and it had no problem with duplicate emails. The only thing holding me back from using Thunderbird is the calendar feature which is nicely built into Outlook. It has reminders and alarms and such. Of course when I'm in Linux, I can use thunderbird and use the kCalendar program. But I use Windows XP, too! |
