Apparently they are offering a large cash premium above the current share price. I assume quite a lot of people here have LinkedIn accounts. You might want to reconsider.
I used a LinkedIn page (free ...) to post "generic, resume-related" information, but I do not "connect with" anyone and I deny all requests from anyone to do so. I probably haven't logged-in to the site in two months.
But, in our present, innocent naive days, where everyone is encouraged to "share everything with anyone" so that the resulting information can be sold(to God knows who, God knows where, to do with it God knows what ... ...) that dataset might to them be worth many millions.
I am quite circumspect in my dealings with the Internet, and I encourage others to do the same. What other people (in other lands ...) know about you, can be used against you, and against millions of others just like you. Because it can happen, one day it will.
I haven't used my account in some time, and I just deleted it. I hope. I don't know if accounts are actually deleted or not, ala Facebook. I don't need networking any longer, and I hope to never have a job again. My wife comes up with enough to keep me entertained, and I figure out one for myself now and then.
