Metal Wire Shelving (shelves) blah...

Googling.... Yodeling.... etc...

It seems that racks (shelving) that I have seen in hosting facilities have disappeared! All I seem to be able to find are sites that offer normal rackmount enclosures or freaky 60's futuristic monitor madness command centers.

All I need is 1 rack.... I know someone has them... rackspace uses em... countless other hosting providers have them... Anyone seen em?

Know where you can get them!? Post it here... and leak the secret! ;-)

-james

BTW... what is with the monitor madness!? With the number of ways that you can use a graphical interface (terminal or "gui") from a linux / unix workstation.... who needs more than a couple monitors!?

Woohooo the power of Google Ads! I couldn't find them searching but the ads gave me a couple distributors to choose from. In case the ads change and someone else is looking for the same shelving.... these are the 2 that showed in the ads here on LinuxQuestions.org

http://safcoshelving.com/shop/prodty...ageHistory=cat

This one looks promising as well (googled):

Anyone have aother suggestions... please let me know.

Crito... thank you for the suggestion. I appreciate the response, and have used similar shelves in my home closet.... for work I need a more heavy duty setup. We have 10 foot drop ceilings so an 8-9 foot rack / wire shelves would work perfectly. I tried both Home Depot and Lowes with no real results.

Any ideas on a unit 6' wide 18-24" depth with a height of 6-9' ?

Thanks again for your help.

Whoa! I would of course find what I am looking for right under my nose... murphy's or ohm's law?? ;-)

Anyhow... Tigerdirect has them. Took the catalog arriving today to clue me in... (doh!)

See here:
A search on their site for "shelving"
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...x=0&image1.y=0

A direct link to large shelving.... there are many other sizes plus lots of cool extras!
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...531&CatId=1444

I'm tempted to get some of the smaller shelving from them and move my retail bought shelves to the garage.
