Also, I once almost became Guru (I'm really no Guru, but I certainly do know how to configure X which as got to be the most popular question being asked at least daily), but I think I turned moderator 10 or 8 posts before 1,000. But that was too long ago to remember all of that.

Exactley so why does it matter ? That is one reason why most have a choice now, Guru or LQ Addict. We just can't presume your a Guru now can we.. but someone can also post a 1,000 questions and be a Guru, but I would only hope they select to be a LQ Addict.
