Manage subscribers?

I'm looking for a way to manage subscribers.
If they sign up for a one year subscription I would like to have it
managed by software and have them removed at the end of the year, with
reminders sent to the subscribers email address prior to their removal.
I'm guessing it has to already exist, but I'm not having any luck
finding it.
Any suggestions?

Pick out a dozen or so sites which have this functionality and email their webmasters asking for a referral. Lather, rinse and repeat.
