longest time awake without sleeping?
well...i guess its safe to say that im addicted to linux. ive been awake for a little less than 48 hrs reading.
whats the longest anyone ever stayed up? THERES JUST TOO MUCH TO READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
umm, i think it was 33-36 hours (or was it 42?, hmm, well, ill just say 33 hours a few times.... it diffidently throws off your schedule)

I think when your up that long, your really so out of it you don't know how long you've been up - sort of a catch-22. The longest i've gone without sleep is probably somewhere between 40-55 hours. I have no idea.

52 hours..........when I was in the Air Force.......
my Sargeant and I had to repair a Generator......... we had to R & R the engine and trouble shoot some Circuit boards..... ah, the good ole days.......... |
Been awake about 48 hours one time. About 8 years ago, I was working 2 jobs. Well some people quit at my second job, and instead of working 8 hours, ended up working 14 hours, by that time, it was time to go to my other job. Did that for 36 hours straight, started hallucinating, so I quit my second job. Wasn't worth the hassle.

32 hours but not because of Nix...it was because I was in the Navy working double 12 hour shifts (someone paid me $100 to cover their shift so they could party) and when I was done I couldnt sleep
|
Hmm, this Easter break me and a couple friends stayed up from Monday at about 12pm till Thursday at about 7am. So, I guess thats about 68ish hours straight where all we did was play CS and drive back and forth from 7-11 when our Pepsi supply ran low.

I had some very unhealthy sleeping habits during my first year of college.
By the end of the year, my biological clock was convinced that day was night and night was day. In order to rectify it, I had to "reset it" as I thought about it. It took a 85 hours without sleep before I could finally crash again. --Shade |

mind you that was a long, long, looooooooonnnnnngggggg time ago. |
I did 5 days once. The halucinations were serious by then. I could look at them straight on, squarely, and attempt to disbelieve them, they would solidly persist.
