Listen to Podcasts

Back in 2007-2008 it seems that podcast were everywhere, especially for gaming, now in 2016, most have seemed to dried up.

Why do you think that is?
What podcasts do you listen to now, if any?

For gaming, it's because most gaming commentors have found that they could express themselves better on Youtube.

I don't listen to any podcasts regularly, but fxguide (about film production) is a particularly good one.

I listen to podcasts regularly. They are out there.

Here are two good resources:
https://www.blubrry.com/
http://www.thelinuxlink.net/

and, of course, there's always Hacker Public Radio.

Update:

This is a relatively new podcast that is definitely oriented towards games: Geek News Radio :http://sixgun.org/feed/gnr

I started listening to podcasts many years ago and still do today mainly because for over a decade I've ended up doing long commutes
.
I'm subscribed to a dozen but my cant miss shows are:
- No Agenda
- Unfilter
- Linux Unplugged
- Techsnap
- Joe Rogan Experience

I listen to several podcasts from jupiterbroadcating like Linux Action Show, Tech Talk and Unfiltered.

Other podcasts outside of jupiterbroadcating include computer America, All About Android and Hacker Public Radio

The only caveat I have is some podcasts are way to long, e.g 2 hours+, I sometimes never finish listening to the entire episode.

Thanks To Everyone who posted

As a courtesy, I'd like to thank everyone who posted.

dugan: Many thanks for this podcast, I like reading about movie trivia/goofs and this podcast is interesting for me.

frankbell: Many thanks for the gaming podcasts, I listened to the first episode, seems cool and a good replacement for what IGN's podcast used to be. I found your blog post where you post several more podcasts, many thanks for that.

Livestradamus: I too have long commutes on the bus, thanks for your podcast list. Do you by any chance watch Joe Rogan stand up, he's pretty funny.

RPI: The longer the show is the better for me.

I just learned about Astronomy Cast. Haven't watched or listened to it yet, but it looks very interesting.

Just discovered a quite-good one called "Trailblazers", which is tech-related and produced by Dell.

I don't think they are quite as popular as they used to be. But they are still really good to listen to on your commute to/from work.

I recently became a father so the podcast I've had interest in is called Dudes to Dads.

I listed the Linux podcasts that I currently listen to on my LQ Blog a couple of months ago: https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...odcasts-37618/

I think the Linux podcasting community is holding its own, though it may not be growing as it once was.

I use Stitcher Radio on my Android phone to listen to podcasts.

Tech podcast Scale Your Code, I would recommend:

https://scaleyourcode.com/

Red Hat does one called Command Line Heroes, except it isn't on Stitcher Radio at this time:

https://www.redhat.com/en/command-line-heroes
