Linux vs. BSD
Hi!
I have seen countless forums doing the Linux Vs. Microsoft talk. Linux sucks because... Microsoft sucks because..... Your mom wears army boots.... etc...
What about Linux vs Bsd?
Which is better? Why would someone choose one over the other? Which is more secure. Stable. etc....

although i use linux most of the time BSD is the most stable out of the two and its more secure go to netcraft.com and look at some of the uptime statistics, the servers that have been up longest are measured not only in weeks or monthes but years and what OS is on those servers BSD, also BSD suports more types of system hardware dont get me wrong linux has better hardware support for things like sound, graphics, network cards and things like that but bsd has the better system support meaning it will run on anything! it will run on a normal pc, ppc, sparc, mainfraim. but linux has more software for it then BSD. BSD is more for the server market then Linux. also BSD is faster.
i know i use linux and hardly ever use BSD but BSD is my favorate which is probably the reason i use slackware do to it been the most unix/BSD like distro out there
and you certainly know how to start a thread of thats going to be nothing but flaming after about the 5 or 6th post
