Guys..... people have been talking about the secret Microsoft agendas behind SCO's suits... but I've heard nothing about Norton.
Come on, guys.. le's face it. Will Microsoft be more affected than Norton once Linux take over the PC world? Let's think about it.
Who will need a Norton Antivirus? NONE!
Who will nedd a Norton System Tools to take care of the &/()=&/)(%/&(·$&%($%&=(/&)ing Windows Registry once it gets f__ked up? The same answer, right?
So? If I were Peter, I'd be shovelling money at SCO to keep on fighting, don't you agree?
I would be looking for Norton-SCOs relations a little bit closer.
(Who says linux is not fun?)
PS
And by the way.... I think some of the guys who posted think I was serious about looking for a Norton-SCO tie..... I WASN'T, OK?

acually ,norton would still have the rather large mac community (at least for a while), and perhaps could find a niche in the linux market. so if i were norton, i'd take this as a challange

Not at all. It takes a very greedy, and somewhat evil, entity to consider this an acceptable business practice. What you're saying is that if it were in your financial interest, you'd be siding with MS and SCO? That's donkey crap.

Well, think about this, what happens when anti-virus will be a part of windows. Who will be hurt the most? Why would any of the commercial anti-virus companies waste their time with SCO, when Microsoft will be their biggest competitor.
Distribution: K/Ubuntu 18.04-14.04, Scientific Linux 6.3-6.4, Android-x86, Pretty much all distros at one point...

yep.
M$ has a habit of taking other people's brilliant ideas and reworking them into their own product. Remember Stac Electronics??? Stacker??? Oh yeah, that Idea became Double-Space in M$-DOZ 5.0,... and when Stac was no more,... mysteriously disappeared from the OS landscape.
Plus, companies like Norton will find ways to make obtuse functions within Linux easier to function from a dumb-as-rocks-newbie standpoint. If they don't have a niche, they'll make one.
