linux resolution fixed but now XP doesnt like it


ive had trouble setting up my gfx card and monitor in xf86config but now i have it working-ish should i install the nvidia drivers will it give me similar capabilities as the Doze version and i knwo this isnt a linux question but how do i restore 60Hz refresh rate on XP ive tried in safe mode but when i reboot into normal my monitor just says out of sync
