Linux is popping up in all sorts of places


Linux is becoming increasingly commonplace, but in a submarine? Check this out:

yeah...but I guess common sense alone makes it quite clear that if you're in a metal box deep below surface and getting torpedos down your ass, the last thing you wish to see is a blue screen telling you that "A fatal exception OE has occurred at ..."

impossible, my goverment bought four used leacky submarines 5 years ago from the uk after years of fixing and hundreds of millions of dollars our only subs still can't pass sea trials, you should see our 30 year old helocopters to, the destroy the enemy with falling parts.

That'll teach them. The stuff the uk government buys never works right in the first place, so obviously it isn't going to be any better when it sells it on to someone else!
