Well, if you're serious about this, I'd love to work on it. I've been looking for a project to really sink my teeth into for a long time. I'm a CS major in college, and would love to get into a serious project. Mostly I code C/C++, but I also have a little bit of background in assembly. (Laugh if you want, but it's good knowledge for optimization).
I would love to have this project get started, and I am serious about carrying this as far as I possibly can. I have had this idea for sometime and this is the first forum I have thrown this idea out on. Does anyone know of any other good forums I could post this on to get more opinions/members?
Just an update for anyone interested, I have recently submitted the project from hosting at SourceForge, so that should be done by Monday/Tuesday (shouldnt have submitted it over the weekend, but anyway).
First of all I salute you for your interest in making quality linux games.
It's a long path, with long term objectives but we shall always try to achieve our goals!!
I would like to join you project but i currently have too much work along with other projects so I can spent the time this project deserves.
For gaining more viibility I suggest that you ask a moderator to move this to the general section.
Also keep us informed of the project status if you don't mind the trouble
The "oficial page" at Sourceforge is already running ??
The registration was turned down because they did not want to host the project as a whole, but would host the projects the team would create, so as soon as I can get a team together and can focus on a singular game, I plan on re-applyoing, and I am also looking into long term dedicated web hosting for the project.
Also, if possible could a mod move this to the General Forum?
Yes, currently I am planning to use the GNUL licenese (GNU and lesser). I dont really want this to be a commerical project, I just want to show Linux gamers that if they come together they can design games as good, if not better than commerical games at the moment.
