linux comand line in windows?

I was just reading the windows wishlist thread and they were talking about a better comand line in windows.

Well, my uncle is a programmer for java and IBM. When I was on vacation we stopped at his house to talk and we went to a computer store, but back on topic he showed me some program he was working on for IBM. It was kinda cool that he could make a really good program (it was an app that had some tabs, you would type in a webpage and it would split up the webpage into the tabs. the tabs would be named: Images, video, etc)and when he was using command prompt to find some file, he was using linux commands! IBM/Java must of gave him some program that made the windows cp into a linux one.

You can do that on Windows with CygWin - or - run it from a CD with XLiveCd (google).

I have Microsoft's Services for Unix installed on Windows XP.
I actually have Bash installed on it. Quite a few other GNU packages also.
Checking out SFU was one of the reasons I even installed XP.
SFU is free now-a-days, but it will only work on Pro, not Home (Win2K, also).
