Linux Cell Phones?

hey guys does anyone know anything about linux cell phones? i just read this article about how 20 new cell phones are being created...,1759...Page001-145879

are there any linux cell phones that are available right now? i would pay top dollar for one.

and in other news i just read on google news that a new cell phone virus are threatening cell phones. this makes a linux based cell phone more appealing to me for security reasons. here is the article about the new virus...

I know some Motorola phones are being developed using Linux as their base OS.

Ha, if you look round, you'll find that there are some very good linux based mobiles.

Problem for those of us in Europe is that most of them aren't available here, only in the "far East"!

Wow linux on cell phones! I would get one but I wouldn't pay top dollar for one because I have yet to see my cell phone crash or get spyware. Once I do, then i will get rid of my current phone!

I'd love to see the response to a request for the source code, as the GPL requires them to make it available for GPL-derived modules. The reply would be interesting!

Damn it, I double-posted - the same darn thing. Sorry about that!

I believe cell-phones running linux owns other cell-phones.

But what about us poor guys? I wonder if linux can be installed on a cell-phone like Siemens c65. It would really be sweet.

Is there anybody who know how to do this or where to find out?

Siemens c65 have a maximum of 10 megabytes of memory and I've seen linux distributions smaller than a floppy.
