Linux Administration Service Providers

Hi All,

Nope. Not a troll. Very legit. I am looking for some names of any companies in the Philadelphia region that provide Linux administration services.

I have a site with close to 20 various hardware make linux servers that do a myriad of things. Some of them are end of line boxes and some are newer.

What I am trying to find is a company that I could handle the daily administration and operation of these servers. Additionally they can also handle project based work for new changes or additions.

The company should be very comfortable with Debian and APT as that is the majority of the site with a slow creep of RHEL (The main Oracle Server and also some AUP Enforcement appliances).

Administration can be done remotely BUT they must be able to provide onsite support as well (periodically and in emergency situations).

Enterprise backup currently runs from an Sun E3500 box with Solaris but I am looking into moving this onto a Linux box. I am trying to reduce the dependence on Solaris to only the specific applications that require it.

The need is not a "Right away" kind of thing but more of a testing the waters...

If you have anything you care to contribute please PM me and I'll follow up from there.

* Mods: Pls advise if this is the wrong forum to post this *

Sounds to me that your looking for a NOC to handle your admin tasks. Most colocation type facilities have these types of setups to help other companies out, that's where you should start looking first, probably preferrably locally in your area as well.

merana,

I run a small consulting firm in Columbus, OH. I know I'm not located in Philly like you were searching for, but please contact me and perhaps we can work something out.
