I install a SuSE Linux 7.1 and running a sendmail in this PC. I would like to limit the user disk usage and mailbox usage. How can I do that? Anyone have any suggestion to me? Thanks for your helping?

u can limit both in one go with std. tool "quota".
man quota, man edquota for more.

I already do that but no "quota" in my linux box(find -name quota/ whereis quota). Did I need to compile the kernal or install the quota in my linux box? I know quota is basic function for me to do that, but I really no idea to do this operation? Anyway, thanks for your helping and I hope to hearing you suggestion to me in coming! Thanks!

quota requires the package to ba installed and kernel support.

Step 1 - Get and ./config|make|make instal quota
Step 2 - Read the documentation. man quota (or info quota)
Step 3 - Configure quota
Step 4 - (see step 2)
