LimeWire Connection Issues

I recently moved out of my home into my college dorm. When I tried it start LimeWire it said that I was firewalled, it was wrong. I talked to the computer services lady and asked her if they blocked or filtered out port 6346. She replied with an, "Oh yah, haha." As if it was ludicrous not to, I really don't like her anymore, anyway. I have been researching how to bypass this inconvenience but to no avail. I have tried simply changing the port number and screwing with a number of options. I know there has to be a way around this, your help is appreciated. Thank you.

Asking for help on how to bypass your university's security policy is a no-no. -- J.W.

The best thing you can do is to telnet to the server and type in "command bypass security", that always works.

Alternatively, accept that your university has, for a number of good reasons, decided to prevent filesharing on their nework and move on.
