Libre/free opensource alternatives to Microsoft 365 Server?

Hello,

Running on Linux, would you eventually know some possible libre/free opensource alternatives to Microsoft 365 Server?

Hosting webmail, mail,... and so on.

Best regards

Only Office workspace sounds pretty compatible with other venues.

Quote:
ONLYOFFICE Workspace’s file management system is quite flexible because you can connect third-party storage, such as Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, OneDrive, and kDrive. Other integration options for different purposes (for example, Twilio, DocuSign, Bitly) are also available.

Dunno ... some of Microsoft's products including this one are damned good ... ("Giving the Devil his due.") I'd instantly say the same about Microsoft Project, for example.

I'd say to look at Zimbra, Citadel, or Zentyal. You can also mix and match components a la carte rather than hoping for an all-in-one solution. For that you could look at Mailpile, Roundcube, and maybe some others for the mail component. ClamAV for the malware scanner, Samba for the LAN-based file sharing, etc.

Which features are you actually looking for? And which ones are the most important?

I'll concede that M$ has wicked sales methods (in both senses of the word) but vehemently disagree with the previous poster's statement asserting anything other than bottom of the pile poor quality and outrageously high prices for M$ products. That said, not all failure with their products is unpopular and one of the more appreciated features of M$ products, at least among certain types of managers, is the plausible deniability that comes with lost mail. They consistently lose double digit percentages, not counting delays of multiple hours. That unreliability is missing from Free and Open Source Software for the time being so in order to lose as much mail as the M$ offerings, you'll have to script something and integrate that into the above solutions. Likewise, random unexpected downtime can be scheduled with Cron and for malware you can script something to delete files every once in a while.
