Letter........

Have someone ever e-mailed to Linus Torvalds?

DavidPhillips 12-25-2002 10:57 AM

Sure I send him suggestions all the time.

Just kidding

they would probably be directed to /dev/null

nautilus_1987 12-25-2002 01:46 PM

seems its the same like sending mail to Bill gates :D

leed_25 12-25-2002 01:50 PM

rms, on the other hand, is actually fairly accessible

I think his email is listed on Eric Raymonds website, linus at transmeta dot com or something, along with a strong warning not to send him crap or trivial mail because he's too nice to just throw it out. Eric goes on to say don't mess with Linus or his "hacker friends" will make your life hell. Good advice...

OK, I just doublechecked...read this:

Its torvalds@transmeta.com - if you read the Linux kernel mailing list then you'd know :) If you suggest things to Linus, he does usually listen, but Alan Cox (ac) is a guy that will actually explain things to you

/me salutes ac
