-Ladies and- Gentlemen: "Greeting"
If that one-word introduction at the top of a government letter doesn't strike fear in your American heart, go ask your Dad.
And, tell your sister to do it, too. Because, two bills are now being introduced into the American congress: the The Universal National Service Act and the All American Selective Service Act. Compulsory draft bills for men -and- women. |
"Greetings" The word at the beginning of your draft notice is "Greetings," not "Greeting"
'Bout time too. Bring back the draft, no exemptions, and let Uncle Sam pick and chose who he wants. Time for the rich and selfish to have an obligation that they can't avoid by using money or apathy. |
2018, remember it, plan ahead.
You don't actually have to remember it. They say that those who do not remember history are doomed to relive it. @ moxieman99 I'm absolutely sure that all politicians are and will be spared from the draft. I know your hatred runs deep, but you cannot affect them. |
And those with money can indeed make themselves effectively "draft exempt". It has been done frequently in the past and would be again. Money buys influence - ask any politician.
And frankly, if I'm going into combat and my life may rely on my teammates, I'd sooner they be guys and gals that volunteered to be there and take the same risks, as opposed to someone who doesn't want to be there and who is only there because their other option was going to prison. |
I wonder if this means the US government is prepairing to get involved in even more wars around the globe? Hope it's not, since the world is sufficiently screwed nowadays as to add more belic conflicts to the mix.
