Kindle Touch or Kindle Keyboard - which one do you like better?
Hello,
I don't mean to make any advertistments here, I'm only interested in your opinion on the topic. I am considering buying one of Kindle ebook readers, but being at practically same price, I can't decide whether Kindle Touch or Keyboard would be better for me. What I am focusing at is good usability, relatively fast response time, and reliability. I've also heard about Nook devices, but I have no particular experience with them, plus 3G option from Amazon seems to outrun then. (I don't live in U.S). Which one would You prefer? Why? Thanks, Skyer |

I have the touch and love it. I never had the keyboard version so I can't make comparisons. This is my first touch screen device so it took a little getting used to but after some practice I am all set. I would stay away from the nook. The device is solid but the book prices are 25-40% more than amazon. So as a package the Kindle Touch is a better deal. Happy Reading. |
Just the opposite to jv2112, I've got the keyboard version, never tried the touch. It's good.

Thank you for your answers.
Well it seems like it's decided - in unconventional way though. Kindle Touch seems to be available only in U.S currently, and I'm not there. So I guess I'll stick with the keyboard version. I am, though, still interested by topic (not buying it yet), so in case anyone gets to read this and has something to say, I'd be glad to read it. Problem solved for now. Skyer |

(uncertain) Is Kindle worth the purchase? As far as I can tell, device have good screen, but file format support doesn't look good at all, plus there was that "remote book removal story". Cheapest available android-based tablet claims to have much better file format support (but has LCD screen). |

Sorry to revive sort of dead thread now, but I'd like to ask another question, closely related to Kindle...
Some people say that terms of use for 3G version of Kindle are different for each device, in that case I'd like to know more about Kindle Keyboard, as that is the one I will probably buy after all. I am unsure about what can one do with the 3G version compared to wifi. Sure the 3G version has support of 3G, but the terms of use and charges application look kinda inconclusive to me (perhaps because English is not my primary language). I've searched around the internet - and yes, there are lots of threads about this - but most of them end without any 100% conclusion, and I'd like to be sure. What I am not sure about is if you can freely browse/use web without being charged, or the 3G usage is strictly limited to Amazon related services. Thank you for your help, Skyer |
