Kindle Paperwhite 7th Gen

Non Linux question, but you guys may have a solution.
My 7th gen Kindle paperwhite is still quite new, but the battery discharges in 4 days with only reading about 30 mins per day.
This has happened since the last update about a month ago, to 5.13.7(3763000075)

Prior to that it could go for about a month.

Any ideas, I've turned down the brightness, disabled wifi and checked the uindexing - all good.

Ithink a factory reset might do it, what do you guys think

Cheers

You haven't mentioned but do you leave the WiFi on all the time? I'm not sure which generation my one is but it lasts months usually. Used maybe 30 mins a day (It's the one which has loads on ads on the home screen every time it's connected to the web, ad free cost more - so I leave it on Aeroplane mode normally.) I only connect to the web to download the books. The ads picked up when downloading eventually fizzle out over time and I get a lady with a telescope or something as the home screen. I don't need it sync'd to my phone app or Kindle Fire which is used to watch Netflix mainly rather than as a reader.

So my advice is: Load up your book(s) then turn the WiFi off and check the difference. :D

Play Bonny!
