Kindle Paperwhite 7th Gen
Non Linux question, but you guys may have a solution.
My 7th gen Kindle paperwhite is still quite new, but the battery discharges in 4 days with only reading about 30 mins per day. This has happened since the last update about a month ago, to 5.13.7(3763000075) Prior to that it could go for about a month. Any ideas, I've turned down the brightness, disabled wifi and checked the uindexing - all good. Ithink a factory reset might do it, what do you guys think Cheers |
You haven't mentioned but do you leave the WiFi on all the time? I'm not sure which generation my one is but it lasts months usually. Used maybe 30 mins a day (It's the one which has loads on ads on the home screen every time it's connected to the web, ad free cost more - so I leave it on Aeroplane mode normally.) I only connect to the web to download the books. The ads picked up when downloading eventually fizzle out over time and I get a lady with a telescope or something as the home screen. I don't need it sync'd to my phone app or Kindle Fire which is used to watch Netflix mainly rather than as a reader.
So my advice is: Load up your book(s) then turn the WiFi off and check the difference. :D Play Bonny! :hattip: |
OP said they disabled wifi.
