It doesn't "always" happen in the US, it happens all over the world as I'm sure you know. Is there a point to your post?

Instead of having adults encorage children to join the army at 13 or become sucide bombers?
Open eyes will expose all too many ills all over.
You wouldn't be a troll if you asked a more intelligent question about something this terrible.

Thats my point, it happens in afganastan, iraq, <insert country name here>. We here in the US just have too much media so it gets way too much coverage. Then you have the antigun crowd trying repeating over and over that banning guns will stop these kind of things (but guns are alreayd banned in schools anyway and it doesn't help)

The only times that happened here in the UK the nutter held his guns legally, when will you gun-addicts realise that if you haven't got a gun you can't kill people with it.

Never owned a gun, never needed one. The only reason every american needs a gun is because every other american has got a gun.

I think you'll find that owning a gun is generally a compensation for having a little dick.

Oh great, not this one. banning guns does nothing, you think a little sign on the door saying no guns is going to protect you? Thats the problem, you can keep banning and they will just find ways around it. The people doing the shooting are not worried about weather or not they can legally own that gun, they will get it one way or another.
The problem is desensitizaing, when guns are only known as a cool toy in a video game then you begin to get desensitized to the consequences of using one. I grew up in the county and every house had a gun rack and we never had shootings where in the city where guns are very hard to find you have all kinds, banning has the opposite effect of what the banners want.

there are people that think things cannot be solved any other way because of theri limited minds. Lst like the anti gun people thinking banning the tool will stop the killing, their limited minds don't realized that their will always be another method to either obtain a gun or an alternate method to kill. The people killing the students and teachers are too limited to think of another way to resolve their problems so they only do what they can think of, they kill with a gun, knife, car, baseball bat, fist fight, whatever

More Reasoned Discourse Please...

The thread started out adversarial and went down hill from there. The entire tenor of the original post was needlessly insulting of America and Americans; obviously intended to instigate a flame war. It is a perfect example of exactly how such tragedies occur - too little thought before acting. TigerLinux, you're part of the problem.

If you would read through the "Dangerous Religions" thread, you can see that mostly reasoned and reasonable discourse is possible. Even on the most controversial and divisive issues - if you only leave your prejudices parked at the door.

Lobbing historical references back and forth is pointless. Examples of similar acts can be found in every society, in every age.

There are so many guns in America because it was written into the constitution of the United States. End of discussion. I do not own a gun, have never owned a gun, and will never own a gun - but I could if I wanted to. I would be opposed to a constitutional amendment to restrict gun ownership rights because I support the original reason for which that right exists - to paraphrase Hamlet - "..to take arms against of sea of troubles, and by opposing; end them."

IMHO such heinous acts have happened, do happen, and will continue to happen just because there are just too damned many of us crammed together on this tiny ball of dirt hurtling through space.

It's happened in the UK? I thought the world was perfect over there. Don't tell me that criminals aren't obeying your laws. Maybe you ought to make more laws that will make the criminals obey them.

And why would people like Jeffrey Dahmer want to rape younger men, kill them, have sex with them after they're dead, chop them up, eat them, save their skulls and save the rest of them for later in his own freezer?

The world may never know the real reasons why humans do the things we do.... but one thing is for sure, stop reading the mainstream media, it's bad for your health.

I had a customer ask how to dispose of several hard drives in such a way that data could never be recovered. I volunteered the use of my clay target thrower and shotgun
