Keeping The Computer Comfortable

Hey, it's as good an excuse as any for buying a new air conditioner unit.

I live in a travel trailer in Florida when I'm not trucking around the country. I'm home for one week each month. Travel trailers aren't exactly known for being well insulated and mine is no exception.

When the sun is beating down it gets pretty hot in here and the small window ac unit in the bedroom just doesn't cut it for keeping the whole place cool.

I've been considering buying a unit for the living room but kept coming up with excuses for not spending the money. Today as the temperature starting getting really hot I got to thinking about the effect of the heat on my computers and went down to Lowes, cracked open my wallet, and bought a unit.

Man, what a difference! Blessed relief.

I think my computers are much happier now.

Just remember your computer need air condition even when it's sleeping(power off).

That way your computer will sleep happily :)

Gah, it's probably not good for my computers. I live on the top floor of a 9 story dorm, with a flat black roof. It gets up to like 105 inside sometimes in the summer up here, and I see my processor temp shoot over 185 sometimes when I'm compiling. Scares me, it's a laptop, about 6 months old, running a Celeron M.
