back to the op, you really have to listen to the tape they have on the front page.
the idea is genius: the bot just randomly says uh-huh, right, ok, and interrupts randomly (with a teenager shouting for icecream somewhere in the background) - and in the end she says "sorry, could you explain all that again" - it's completely random, but very easily mistaken for lack of manners or plain stupidity
