Jobs in London ?

Hi guys.
I've just recently came to London for several months (probably up to half a year) and i'm interested in findind any job connected with linux administration or web scripting(i.e. perl).
I've got 2 years exp as a sys adm at home (in Moscow) and really DO wish to find anything suitable in London.

But I'm confused. In fact I know nothing about finding jobs here. Any of Jobcentres can't help.
Maybe you've got any advices or offers (maybe someone needs an assistant? )

The other problem is that i've got a student visa and can work only up to 20 hours PW. I know I can get a normal visa, but only if employer wish to.

I can deal with FC administration and web site building.

Any help would be great.

And I need money to pay house rent
Alternatively you can give me a call at 0-7979-99-7131
/Dmitry/

Thanks a lot.

Yup, you'd probably be better trying an employment agency that specifies in IT.

But i'd suspect that they'd only be able to get you something pretty basic without "concrete" qualifications/formal experience.

Here's one of the more obvious places to start.

It's fair to warn you, that I've come across lot's of student's in the London area and they've only been able to get job's like stacking shelves in Tesco's (sorry, that's not very encouraging as some of the student's are post-grad in stuff like accountancy etc, I don't think it's going to be easy).

regards

John

Check out www.jobserve.com. It always seems to carry a good number of Linux jobs in the London ara; though I've no idea how many you'd be qualified for.

Good luck.
