IT professionals and ethics


are there any type of ethics that will be applicable to ANY IT professional??
who is not currently a member of ACS, ACM ,BCS, etc etc etc?(not a member of a single society like that..)

How would ethics be different depending on your profession? Please give an example.

Sounds like a homework question to me ...

Think about it, pal! A computer programmer is, more or less, entrusted with the keys to the kingdom. The I.T. staff probably knows much more about how a company actually runs than the CEO him/herself. (And keeps their mouth shut about it! .) It's been that way since computers were invented.
