You guys deserve it. You didn't vote in a candidate who wanted to have a flat tax.

I vote for the guys.

Income tax was introduced for wartime and was supposed to be temporary. Now the government is so big no tax can keep it up.

Of course the criminals are winning. The criminals (big business) runs the show. I read Caterpillar was found to be dodging billions in taxes by setting up fronts in Switzerland. This is standard procedure. But of course what gets reported is when small time fraudsters collectively do much less. I wonder why?

If you want to make the government solvent, cut the out of control "defense" spending.

I recommend you pay your taxes / tribute, not because I agree with them, but because you're gonna be in massive trouble if you don't. It has always been this way, AFAIK, from Genghis and the monarchs until today. You really think it's gonna change, because I don't and I will pay whatever taxes or tribute they require so I can keep my freedom / head.

If you want to significantly reduce your taxes, found a corporation, get yourself a lawyer who knows the tax loopholes and you're set just like other major corporations of today. The only problem is getting the investment capital and keeping the corporation above water.

Smokey, you missed the point.

frankbell 04-12-2014 09:50 PM

Taxes are the price of living in a civilized society.

One thing I've noticed about persons who complain about paying taxes is that they also complain about poor schools, bad roads, inadequate police protection, and so on.

If I made more money, I wouldn't mind paying more taxes. I like roads, schools, police protection, and so on.

And I'd still have more money.

Hope I didn't .. But really, I was just a little mad at you for tricking me to watch that damn idiot go on, and on, and on .. And, like in a soap opera, he managed to say nothing throw out the video, while always talking..

Emerson 04-13-2014 08:24 AM

Sorry for that, but the point is we have too many feds and too many taxes and we still are sinking financially. I just had feds interfering with my life, too, for no legit reason.
I wanted to refinance my home. I found a lender who wanted to lend me and everything looked set ... but oh wait ... we forgot feds! My puppy just ruined some vinyl on my kitchen floor, according federal rules this is structural damage, and another federal rule states homes with structural damage cannot be refinanced.
See my point, two parties agreed on a business - but couldn't go forward because of third, cancerous party.
This country used to be about capitalism, business and freedom - and it was prospering as such.

quoted from the article
"
Who's involved? In a video message released ahead of the April 15 tax filing deadline, Holder said the scams "are carried out by a variety of actors, from greedy tax return preparers to identity brokers who profit from the sale of personal information to gangs and drug rings looking for easy access to cash."
"
what the h?ll has Holder been smoking
"drug rings looking for easy access to cash "
there is no easier way to raise cash than dealing drugs
do people have to tack some kind of stupid test to work for the IRS
dose one have a low IQ for his job
