Is there an easier way to boot between Windows and Linux?

I use Windows XP and Fedora Core 3 and I would like to know if i can boot from windows to linux and from linux to windows without restarting my computer. Thanx.

No, not really. Not easily anyway. You might want to have a look at VMware, but it is commercial software, so you'll have to pay for it.

VMware
or wine, which is free (in both senses).

You can also use QEMU to run Windows XP, however, it runs slowly.

This is one of the main reasons I still use seperate boxes, well that and gaming.

Exactly, I run a KVM switch and my linux box is always on (but not online all the time) and I turn on my XP box when I want to play games. Its more expensive but much more convienient and easy to setup and allows more flexibility with the two systems because you can setup linux for a desktop system and setup the windows box strictly for games and do away with all the garbage that slows it down.

I've heard that linux doesn't play nicely with KVM switches. I don't see how but I've heard that from a few different people. Ever had any issues?

No issues with the one I use, just make sure you dont need to use any kind of software for the kvm to work, usually dont though.
