And the forum links all work and the last post was 7 hours ago. I'd say it works, but is slow moving.

Looks to me that all the forums there are locked for posting.

Have you checked your spam folder? Occasionally gmail mislabels activation emails.

Very odd, all I can suggest then is that either you made a typo when setting up your account (possible...) or that the Freespire server had a brain fart (a mail fart?) and didn't send you the mail. I would suggest using http://forum.freespire.org/sendmessage.php to contact the admins.

I regst twice, contacted admin once near after I regst...oh well i'll try what u say latter,
I just got the freespire cd, ran the live part of it, it is real cool, blows windows away. Gonna put in a empty hard drive and install it now, can't get to a file system on the live cd to work on my hardware settings...maybe the os will see more after an install, + I have to install xp back on my laptop so I can get on the net to pick-up the freespire manual.
I think I'm giddy.
thanks XAVIERP

It looks as though the automated system is having issues or that the manual system has gone out for a beer! Give it a few days to see if anything happens - though it should be almost instant.

No worries. I wonder if it may be a similar issue to the one at the DSL forums (see our DSL sub forum for details).
