I have been asked to look at an ipod for a friend. They were given it but can't copy music (not from itunes) to it.
I guess this is because the person who gave it is still using their itunes account.
Am I right in thinking the only solution is to wipe all the existing music by synchronzing it?
It may depend on the generation of iPod and the application you're using to sync the music. I've had good results with older iPod's and Rhythmbox, you could also try GtkPod. It could also depend on your version of libimobiledevice.
