Dunno ... I have never used any of these services ... nor Facebook, nor Twitter ... and I never intend to do so.
Even in the predecessor-days of "IRC = Internet Relay Chat," I never was much into "chatting." (Even though one of my colleagues, at the time, was actually more-or-less the original author of(!!) "R = Relay.")

I have a Facebook account from the olden days, before the venality of the Zuckerborg had become apparent. I still use it occasionally when I have to post an update about a group I'm a member of. (When you do outreach, you have to reach out where the people are. I log on in a private window, make my post, and log out quick like a bunny.)
Never used any of the others, but I do remember listening to a long interview with Jack Dorsey on NPR about 15 years ago. He ran on and on about how Twitter would contribute positively to the discourse. (Boy, did he get that one wrong!) I think it may have been on Terry Gross's show, Fresh Air, but it may have been a different program.

I think it's become quite clear that "social" media isn't.
Yes, indeed: very similar to my situation.

You know, that's like what Henry Ford apparently predicted for his automobiles in the early years. According to one of my professors, Ford predicted that people would use his cars to improve their health by taking drives into the countryside!
