Probably not as it requires some really old libs which may not build anymore, but you could always try.

Why 3.5.7? The current version is 3.6.1. The SIAG website has a binary of 3.5.5 available.

The 'newest' version is a horrible re-write with several 'dummy' features which are not implemented. Either way, it's probably a big task to get going.

Is SIAG today abandoned? why such light-applications are discontinued? there are still lot of people who like mininal office apps for old machines.

It doesn't look as if much has been done recently, but it's always risky to assume such products are dead.

As for getting software for old machines, when reviewing AntiX I ran Abiword 128MB and Ted (real retro-word-processing) in 64MB!

I'm pretty sure the project has been dead for at least 10 years. The word processor and spreadsheet work okay, but the presentation program is useless.
