install ns2 in linux...???
 
i have problem when installing ns2 in windows, i've followed all instruction from http://hpds.ee.ncku.edu.tw/~smallko/ns2/ns229.pdf

when i install cygwin there wasn't problem but when i install ns2 there
was message that "gcc path not on your system" and the installion failed.
at the 1 time i used ns2 ver 2.33 but then i tried to use ns2 ver 2.29 but
still doesn't work, with same error report. so,if someone know how to install ns2 in xp please help me. and i would like to know to install ns2 in linux too. i use dual boot,windows and mandriva 2007 free edition.but i'm very new in this os,so..help me......pliz

Welcome to LQ.

For windows the "ns-allinone" is recommended.

You will of course have to install the
"gcc for Cygwin" first. 'gcc' is the compiler
used to build 'ns'.
