Talking In Praise of gThumb

I hope this is the right forum. I'm just so thrilled I can hardly stand it. I opened gThumb in my Mint MATE, plugged in my camera, and it TRANSFERRED THE PICTURES TO THE COMPUTER!!! No fuss, no bother, no strange terminal commands, it just worked!

Yes, I'm newly escaped from Windows and in completely over my head with Linux. I'm willing to work and learn, but I am so delighted to find out that some of it is simple!

YAYYYY!

You will also find that the CLI once you learn how to use it
is safer simpler faster and easier for system work than the registry editor
ie you can't mess up booting by working on the networking configuration
