I hope this is the right forum. I'm just so thrilled I can hardly stand it. I opened gThumb in my Mint MATE, plugged in my camera, and it TRANSFERRED THE PICTURES TO THE COMPUTER!!! No fuss, no bother, no strange terminal commands, it just worked!
Yes, I'm newly escaped from Windows and in completely over my head with Linux. I'm willing to work and learn, but I am so delighted to find out that some of it is simple!

is safer simpler faster and easier for system work than the registry editor
