Be honest, if M$ offered you a job with a nice sign on bonus, 401k, medical and a great salary what would you do?
a) I'd take the job but still wouldnt use any M$ products at home
b) Hell no I hate them and their products.
c) Hell yes and I'd waste their money playing Flight Sims and Real Time Strategy games all night on 3rd shift.
d) Of course I love M$!!
I would! As broke as I am I couldnt wait till payday Friday!! Hahaha. So my answer is C!!
I would, regardless of what i may think of M$. When it comes to paying the bills and putting food on the table, i'd work for anyone. I couldn't see M$ being any different from any other business.
Ive done lots of contract work for M$.... I would never pass up a Full-time opp there... The autmosphere is amazing... oddly enough the last time I worked there I was doing win2k setup support... one of my co-workers (who was full-time) was a linux buff.. I always though he was crazy for liking linux.. At the time i was an avid linux hater {runs and hides} not anymore though!
i wouldn't take it... id be much happier living in a forest with the bears and wolfs (actually that does sound nice, maybe if the world comes to an end ill have a place to live ) ,
i'm pretty sure that if you took a job at ms, option a) would be an invalid option as it would seem to me that you probably would be taking work home with you.
Nope, I quit a job that was a MS shop to start working for myself with all Linux because I just couldn't take it anymore. I had no desire to keep pushing out ASP sites and try to get the MS servers working right.
