IDE controller
What's an IDE controller?
*****Colonel Panic***** |
An IDE controller is the bit of kit that interfaces your hard disks (and other IDE devices) with the rest of you system. On the days of old this was a seperate ISA card that plugged into the motherboard, nowdays its build onto the motherboard so you don't end up wasting available IO slots.
