I use 50webs and they haven't failed me yet! You'll end up getting a url like http://yourchoice.5u.com or something to that effect, which isn't too bad!
What kind of nonsense is that? Are we from a different planet or what? Or are we second class citizens. I fail to understand this kind of blanket discrimination. No explanations, no apologies, just a blanket ban.

Makes me sick.
Truthfully and to be honest, it only takes one person to ruin it for the rest. Perhaps since they just blocked a whole country cause some weasels abused it, they should place better monitoring programs so not everyone is targeted and viewed the same, such a shame but it is however their website. You'd think though they could come up with a statement that doesn't come off as so prejudicial though.
Yes. I felt that they could have explained in more words or perhaps offered some explanation.
Just the one statement:
we do not accept signups from your country.
was quite jarring on my nerves. Probably because I found that their hosting was pretty decent and I wanted to try it out myself.
It's a pity but I have found this discriminination in many places on the web if they find that you're not from a first world country.
There are also sites where they simply reject credit card payments just by checking which country you're from.
They're within their rights to do all that, of course, but it simply goes against the borderless nature and the spirit of the internet and the community of internet users.
If its only a personal website, your not expecting much traffic and you have broadband you can easily run a webserver from your own machine, thats what I do anyway
