I hate it when...
You ask a question, someone answers and if you still dont understand and they doubt your intelligence publicly.
For example, I asked a question about programming, someone answered and I wanted to see a code example because I didnt know if a function would solve my problem etc.. After I asked that they said something along the lines of, "My example above should be sufficiant.". After months of toiling over this, I have decided, no its not. Everybody learns in a different way, such as the wise words "Books have not eliminated the need for schools and vise versa." After months of not figuring out the problem, when i finally got enough gull to ask again(different forum), someone answered, I was so off about the solution, I'm not sure when I would have solved it. I did learn from this. I just think if your going to answer someone, try it, if you feel you need to bail out because your patents is strained, just dont post anymore, dont challange someone intelligence and make them think the problem is more of a problem than it is. BTW...what is hard to me, may not be to someone else, and vise versa. So...I guess that was a rant... |
How about when someone does not write a descriptive subject and makes you click it to find out what it is all about?

You could do what I do and not click :)

Oh but you did click as did I.

I really dislike (I don't like the word hate) when poeple reply to others in the same thread but instead of making one post to reply to all, they post 7 or 8 or even more all in a row, like they're in a desperate attempt to boost their post count.

when people come on the board with sometimes long 'why i'm switching back to windows..' or 'why i hate linux' posts instead of productive, what can i do to make my linux better or even, well, 'i guess i wasn't quite ready to take the plunge, any help would be appreciated' and then specific problems that need addressing with his/her situation that drives them to drink (or worse, to microsoft)...
i'ts akin to someone pointing a gun to their forehead and explaining in a long note why death is better then life before blowing his/her brains out, it's not really necessary, it's just to agrivate people, and it could be taken as trikery on microsoft's part (trying to get people to post on linux boards with subtle propaganda to whittle away at the newbies) |

There have been a few lately that seem to be padding their post count. I just hope newer members do not go by count alone. |
Especially when most of the posts are in the General forum.

Oh well, then it's ok :D

I dislike it when there is some really cool app that I want, but it for some reason fails to compile on my system. Oh well, that is probably due to my incompetence rather then any thing else.
|
I hate cheese.
