I had a NIGHTMARE last night......

I had a nightmare last night where I was hired to direct the IT department of my girlfriend's dad's company.

Everyone there was logged in as root.......

I woke up in a cold sweat. It really scared me.

P.S. I'm really serious too. I'm such a nerd sometimes.

LOL - although I can't say that I've ever dreamt such a nightmare.

Btw, shouldn't this be in General? Mod?

BTDT, try supporting a windows app (saleslogix in this case) that has written in the documentation that the user must be an admin for the program to run. I went through with regmon and several other utilities and gave up on trying to set permissions for it to run as a non admin user there were just too many.

That's kinda rad. I dreamed the other night I was on a walk about, and I had a long way to go, so I got sick of walking and just started flying along just above the ground

A Linux admin's nightmare is a Windows admin's SOP (standard operating procedure).
