Not any on their site? That's where I'd look. Not specifically for Google/YouTube, I'd just find a way to speak to "a" person in Google support and ask them where they recommend I try, if'n they actually couldn't help me there and then.
Did the movie The Internship lie to me? Yep. There's that. All about how much of your time you want to spend chasing something down.
I mean, ... are these videos (1) identifiable to you specifically? And (2) really giving a poor impression? Not asking specifically to know, just those would be the questions I'd be considering as the pursuit got more lengthy.
I have given up on trying to recover the youtube (now Google) old account.
The movies have nothing degrading to reflect on me. I was just hoping to move some over to my current youtube account (sometimes via using a website that will turn a youtube movie into an mp4 or something and re-uploading it to my current youtube/google account.
After fiddling with this long enough, I somehow can no longer select "my account" on the Android phone. Well, I can, but it keeps saying 'Alert: Internet Access Failed - Try Again Later."
It is clearly connected to my wifi. I turned roam for data off and I can use the Android chrome browser to go anywhere on the internet. I can even access the Google Play Store. Even in my settings, it's showing I'm connected to my home wifi network.
I guess i really don't even need to click "My Account" since everything else is working, including Google Maps.
I have grown to really "hate" Google. Both their taking over of youtube and other sites & using an Android phone. One thing I "hate" the most about Google, is they seem not to be able to email a person a security code or way to recover an account - it nearly has to be done on an Android phone that you still have access to.
I'm not up for paying a fortune for an iPhone - I disdain Apple as well.
I wish there was a way to put an alternative linux mobile operating system on my Android phone, but I've been told that this is really not an option with my current cell phone provider.

Pinephone is my next, unless I find a Geeksphone still around... my last one was lost and I think the company is no longer around? Aside from perhaps building a phone out of a pi zero,,, it was exactly what we're looking for!

I had a good read of this yesterday, thanks for the link.
There's still a few things I, or OP, haven't tried.
There's also some sort of forum specifically for Google account recovery.

Congratulations.
Now draw the right conclusions, get active, and after some hassle it's a slow but steady path to more online freedom and less hassle.
And you don't need special hardware - wrt Google, one of the many alternative OSs that work on consumer hardware (phones, tablets, computers...) will do.

I'd do exactly what you're saying, rip the old content somehow to save it in a file, and then post it in your new account. There's tons of add-ons or sites which will allow you to download an online video and save it.
I have tried account recovery forms on google web pages twice - never a reply. I have posted to google forums - no one has a solution and google moderators never chime in. I have called google phone numbers and when I get to a person they always tell me that this phone number is not for google/gmail/youtube support. There simply isn't an option to recover the account via the email associated with it - which I still have access to. I really have tried everything.
My intentions, honestly, was to transfer a movie that has had over 15,000 views to my current youtube (Google) account - which I did. I just wanted to delete the old account as it still shows up first when someone searches for my movie (and it just looks like I've copied "their" movie to my current account. There were also some personal home video movies on there that I wanted to take off (to kinda dismiss my ex-wife from my mind of movies and I on there).
Oh well. I can now officially proclaim that I HATE GOOGLE!
Good day and thank you to everyone that replied to this thread!
Regards,
Michael

As we progress in the digital, corporate* world where right or wrong is defined by trillions of parents not facts or realities... we must evolve our backup methods like loopholes in laws?
No offense but if we don't know you're the owner of the videos then live and burn google, , I mean learn.
