I am so lucky...

I never brought any paper or pens to school this year!
I never had homework except in 1 class, and only one assignment
honestly how often does that happen? I bet when you guys were in 8th grade you got a whole bunch of homework :P

Snicker, I guess you never had homework in English.

What does brang mean?

Oh well, I'm in college now and I don't mind homework, I learn a lot and actually enjoy going to class. (Never thought I'd say that)

God.. school was so long ago.. long before I was heirless

We didn't even have paper back then.. we bled goats and used the blood on birchbark for the 2 "R"'s. It was so long ago there wasn't even 3 R's yet..

/me totally confused

You must be living in the past, paper has existed for a very long time

Don't feel bad, I'm confused too.

What are the 2 or 3 Rs?

/me sighs.

readin', 'ritin', and 'rithmatic. Come on, I'm 16 and I know that. Which R were you missing? :)

Dang man, without pen and paper you'll have to actually read the text books. Do what most college kids do and just write down every word the teacher says in class then regurgitate it back to ace his ego stroking test. I remember one friend said at his graduation that he was really glad all the reading was finally over, and I truly believe he hasn't cracked open a book since, not that he did much reading before either, but anyway...

I brang a pencil, this is 8th grade, there is hardly any learning at all, if any(ok i learned some stuff in spanish class, but besides that not much)
notes are pretty useless to take too, You write them down(only in the classes that your required too) and then loose them somewhere in your locker

Crito 06-01-2005 07:43 PM

I still remember rebuilding a Briggs and Straton lawn mower engine in 8th grade. Can't recall a dang thing from that AP trigonometry class they put me in though. Anyway... if this is your last year before high school then enjoy it. You won't be top dog again for another four years. ;)

Mr. New 06-01-2005 08:27 PM

I never beat up the little kids anyway
I'll probably remember my first linux install more then anything else this year
it was quite a experience you know?
(corrupted install disc(had to keep on trying different filesytems to get it to work) b/c i didn't bother checking the checksum, minimal debian install I had a hard time finding out which which package was the Xserver  yeah nothing like jumping into the deep end when you don't know how to swim ;)
also this is my first year owning a macintosh wasn't much of a experience though, also it was my turn to the computer nerd world, we(my family) had to get 2 new computers this year!

Homework.. never had homework.. I did all my schoolwork at school.. never took it home. I don't think I took one book home during highschool.. probably why I passed with C's all the way thru.. worked for me though, I didn't put much effort into school, I guess if I had actually tried, I could have easily gotten all A's.. but I had better things to do outside of school.. ;)

Wow - luxury
we couldn't afford goats, we had to use our own blood
we couldn't even afford R's

which is probably why I got mostly D's all through highschool

I used to dream about one day getting a C, all my reports said "could do better if tried" sorry Pal ! - not interested, however when I went to Linesman school for NZ Telecom I got all A's .....

live long and prosper everybody
