[US-Politics] - Inauguration: How will you be watching?
I can't really ask if anyone will be watching the coming inauguration of President Elect Trump, because like a bad car crash that you just have to look, curiosity will obviously trump(pun intended) any sort of self-control not to watch, the possible freak show .
So, that being said - I plan to be doing some major multi-tasking - switching between all the fake news channels, to the interwebs and see the continued butthurt reaction of the far left - to the practical circle-jerk of the right. Entertainment folks, at a totally new kind of depravity!
I'm ready, got my beer, scotch, vodka, some nice food - its going to be freaking awesome!
You know you are going to watch - so - how will you be celebrating or mourning this bizarrely momentous/monstrous that is our newly elected cheeto-man
This is the only time I wish I had a room with multiple tvs, so that I can see each channel and the total further breakdown of MSNBC, FOX, CNN - unless the corporate media will give as little attention as possible and try to cover what they see is more important, news about the Kardashians or whatever - so luckily we at least have C-SPAN.
The meltdown by the MSM is far from over - come inauguration day I predict and hope it will be a new kind of batshit crazy that the media will stoop to. The race to the bottom is ongoing, place your bets on any horse you like.

Assuming just the people reading this tread, you are wrong.
I won't be, people also assume I know when the packers are at a superbowl?
For humans education is life and that ain't it! :P

Thats fine, I know I will be watching because I just can't help myself . So I may as well also enjoy it for the freakshow that it is/will be. This is certainly going to be more interesting than the superbowl, I at least watched the superbowl for the commercials, but sadly they are not as good/funny as they were back in the day, Doritos can only do so much. Not that I gave two shits about 'football' anyways, if I did I would be watching the English Premier or something, *cough* actual FOOT-BALL.
I hacky sack... watching "soccer" (sports) is not playing sports people!
I'm more interested in what goes down over the next four years?
Well of course I am, but its just the beginning so why not? I know there is going to be some major turmoil for the next four years. Trump vs. The Media , Trump Vs. CIA, Trump Vs. NSA , etc. It is the next level in American.......uh.....something.

It will be something, I'll tell you that. I just don't know if I wanna be fully sober, or sufficiently intoxicated during the event. Maybe I'll devise some kind of drinking game, or whatever. Point is, I am looking forward to the 20th - its going to be terrifyingly hilarious.
I don't spend hours watching something on television that I can read about in 15 minutes in next morning's local rag. This applies to primary and election returns, political conventions, State of the Union addresses, candidate debates, and, especially, clown shows.

Yes I can read about it - but, this will be something magical (maybe not the right adjective perhaps ) about it. Reading about the further ire of Clinton supporters won't be the same like watching it. Like I said - I can't help but for my schadenfreude to kick in that day, and see the continuation of meltdown by the anti-Trumps, the MSM (particularly CNN/MSNBC) - again I didn't vote for him, but unlike those crybabies I am making the best of it, at their expense . I just want to see the world burn, their world.
By the way, I would have still done the same if it were Clinton. Hey, at least I am honest right?
I'd play if the liquor is good and the snacks are tasty.
You gotta eat a snack every time the word "Great" is said. It is gonna be said too many times so I would not make a rule that one takes a shot of liquor instead.
You take a shot of Liquor when the word "Weak" is used. Edit: scratch that. Use the word "Tough" instead.
We should be rip roaring drunk by the end of the evening. I, for one. Am a happy drunk. I am too big and scary to be a mean drunk.
Since I won't be there. You are welcome to adapt my game to your needs. Have fun I guess.
Why would anyone except an American want to watch a presidential inauguration? I mean, it's the same ritual for every president, isn't it? It's got nothing to do with who the man is, what party he represents, or what policies he has promised to carry out.
How Trump behaves in office (and how long he survives) could be a fascinating spectacle, but the inauguration is just routine.

Well I never watched any inaugurations actually - only when I was in primary school covering Clinton. This is just sheer curiosity on my part.

There you go, Hazel, telling the truth again!! The " spectacle " will go on as usual unless some mad bomber, or shooter, disrupts the proceedings!!

Well........
"Anarchist groups have threatened to shut down Republican Donald Trump's swearing-in as U.S. president, but police in Washington said on Friday they believe the thousands of security officers assigned to the event will be able to head off any disruption."
"Thousands of demonstrators are expected to turn out in Washington next week for protests aiming to "shut down" the inauguration of Donald Trump as the next U.S. president, organizers said on Thursday."
