how to retrieve a sent e-mail?
 
I use yahoo- but if not specificly for yahoo, in general at least- how can i retrieve an e-mail, that has not yet been received by the recepient?

You can't unless you have access to either a) the servers in which it is delivered to or b) the actual email account you sent it to.

Some email services let you do this, but it is not a feature of the email standards, as trickykid says.

If I were running a mail server, this would not be allowed. Imagine every e-mail sender coming in to retrieve and modify sent e-mails.

If I am not mistaken, there is NO way to get a letter back from the USPS. Not sure about FedEx, UPS, etc.
