How to download lecture from Google Video for off-line watching?

Hello,

Quite a lot of Google Video Lectures have a direct option for downloading them. But some are without such option -- however, I guess there should be a method to peek the avi/mov address and download it. So far, I didn't figure it out.

Example:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...e+techtalks%22

You can watch it on-line but there is no option for downloading it.

Any help to download such video is really appreciated :-)

have a nice day, bye

Does Google Video use the same front-end techniques as YouTube? If so, you can just use youtube-dl. (A python script, MIT licensed.)

If it is a google hosted video then you can simply download it by clicking the download link on the right side of your screen

If you are using linux you will find the only format is "Video IPod/Sony PSP", download it. It is a .mp4 file and I can run it using kmplayer, I am sure other video players will run it as well.(kmplayer is based on mplayer)

Good Luck.

Thanks but I am not _that_ lame :-) Newly added videos, even when hosted by google are not available for direct download. You have to use external tools or web pages to extract the address of the video.
