How to create ubuntu pendrive and install linux dualboot on Windows 10?

Hello,

I have downloaded ubuntu on Windows 10.

The big question is how to copy the ISO file onto the USB pendrive.

The idea is to dual boot. Linux needed.

Thank you and kinds regards

The recommended utility to create a bootable USB using Windows is Belana Etcher.
From Linux I tend to use just dd.

There is no "the" recommended utility - there's at least half a dozen.

What I use and recommend is Ventoy.

Ventoy works on Windows or Linux, can boot any number of ISOs, and retains the ability to use the USB drive for data.

Of course, one does have to wonder how someone who has been on LQ for so long can still be asking this sort of question...

From the perspective of the distribution some installation guides do include a how to create a bootable USB drive from Windows with a recommended or suggested utility. Sometimes I get stuck on a particular utility but Ventoy might be a better choice.

I managed to use the rawrite 32bits.

It works. Just to look for bin or iso with star *. Then, it boots and installed fine.

Linux is there. Luckily.
