Sent 3 different designs to Mr. Lee.

One for Debian and 2 for LXDE. So.....I'm waiting to hear from him.

Mr. Lee is forwarding the designs I sent him to the lead LXDE designer for approval.

I'm happy!-

Thanks!

Mr. Alex is a LXDE maintainer and the other 2 men we are waiting to hear from are LXDE designers.

Joining the mailing list for LXDE keeps my inbox full.
Everytime a maintainer makes a patch I get e-mails like crazy:-
They are very busy every day.

I'll keep you posted as soon as I hear something ChuangTzu.-

Haven't heard from the lead designer yet. Not sure that I will.

I've thought of sending them another design I'll wait on that and just e-mail Mr. Lee and see what he says.

have you considered just putting some hi-res images up on github, with a suitable license, and leave it at that?

No-

Think I'll just build my own website and call it a day:-

Hosting can't be all that hard and a domain name shouldn't be too overly expensive:-

but you already have a nice wordpress blog; moving it to your own domain wouldn't make too big a difference.
your pictures are beautiful, and some of them would make perfect sense as desktop wallpapers, but I wouldn't use those photgraphs you have there, even if they were much higher res.
i think the problem with your artwork is that no proper scans are available, preferably post-produced or maybe even traced (convert to vector). or maybe even created digitally from scratch.

Thank You ondoho:-

By convert to vector do you mean open my art work in Gimp or an application of the like and make them look sharper?

I'm not sure how to create digitally from scratch. Ideas?

no.
i meant something like potrace.
but it likely wouldn't give the desired results.

you know what vector images are, as opposed to raster images?
gimp does only raster (pixels), inkscape does vector.
but of course both end up being pixels on your screen.
vector images are usually much cleaner, and more suitable for actual drawing, because they describe the action instead of just filling pixels.

what i said above. not really my area.
or go to deviantart and look at digitally created art thre; i'm sure some of the people explain how they did it.

but i repeat, proper scans (not just photographed) could be enough.

I've never used Inkscape.
If it doesn't have a boatload of depends for Slackware I'll install it and give it a try. Otherwise I'll install it on my Manjaro box:-

I downloaded Potrace. When I have time I'll untar it and give it a spin as well.

Thanks-
