Not sure if making a thread in the forum is the answer or not because I'm not trying to write code for them I just want to submit my art work. https://lxqt.org/about/
Maybe I should post to an IRC channel or go to Open Stack?
Desktop backgrounds aren't DE-specific, are they? Why not put them on gnome-look.org or xfce-look.org?
No the backgrounds aren't DE specific, thanks dugan.
I'll head over to gnome-look.org and see. But before I do.....
My original paintings and sketches are designed for 16 x 20, 16 x 24 and 14 x 17 frames.
I'm not sure if resizing them in GIMP will make them blurry or not. I'll have to experiment:-
Yeah, they are large but not sure if they are print resolution or not.
I tried to put my art work on Devian Art before and I forget what the problem was and couldn't do it.
There was something in the documentation that I either couldn't get clairification on or the site wanted me to give up my rights to my work and I was not about to do that.
Here's what I don't like about their Terms of Service:
16. Copyright in Your Content
Quote:
you grant to DeviantArt a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute, re-format, store, prepare derivative works based on, and publicly display and perform Your Content.
All of the paintings and drawlings that I have created are the one and only original pieces of work. I do not want my work to be reformatted, reproduced or other wise messes with. So... I don't think Deviant Art is the way to go but thanks for the suggestion.
I'd rather make designs for Lubuntu, LXQT, LXDE and other Linux Teams.
In the future I may contact Fedora and make designs for them if they like my work:-
Clicking on create a new project makes you register for an account with Source Forge.
I didn't want this. I just wanted to be able to submit my work to LXQT or LXDE.
An additional e-mail that lxde-list sent me explains that you have to post to the list through this e-mail. lxde-list@lists.sourceforge.net.
